Holiday Dilly!

Well, I'm getting ready for the holidays. I really enjoyed Thanksgiving (I ate a lot). So I expect that Christmas will be fun too. I will love to play with all the new toys Santa is supposed to bring me. Anyway, just wanted to post some holiday photos. Mommy and Daddy tried to get some good shots of me this past weekend, to make a Christmas card; but I didn't really feel like cooperating. Hopefully we'll get a good one soon so the cards can actually go out before Christmas!!

Talking Tot

I've been so busy lately; I haven't had time to update the blog. We enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday in San Diego (although it was so warm it felt like summer!). I took the plane down there and it was a little harder compared to when I was younger, but we all survived. I am growing up so much, turning into a little boy more and more each day! I talk a lot. My vocabulary is expanding quite a bit - and even if I can't communicate many things, I understand almost everything! I have recently learned some of my body parts and especially love the eyes (it's something I can say very well). I give kisses and wave bye bye; I am such a sweet little guy (most of the time). I love to take baths and brush my teeth in the evening before bed. I also love running and climbing and getting into just about everything. I do so many things now, there's not room to list them all...

Dilly Dragon in a Wagon

On Halloween eve I cruised the neighborhood in my dragon costume, while being pulled along in my red wagon. (However, we didn't get photos of this because Mommy didn't have the battery charged and the camera died!!) I greeted the neighbors with a voracious ROAR! (if I was in the mood). I loved watching all the big kids walking around in their costumes (even though none of them paid too much attention to me). When we got home I helped Mommy answer the door to the trick-or-treaters who came by. I don't really understand this Halloween thing yet, but it was pretty fun nonetheless. Anyway, here are some photos of me all dressed up.

Pumpkins & Baby Animals

I went to the pumpkin patch this weekend and had a great time. There was a barn with all sorts of baby animals. My favorites were the goats, bunnies and ducklings. We picked out a white pumpkin from a huge field filled with tons of pumpkins of all different sizes, shapes & colors. I tried to pick them all up, but could only manage to lift a few. Daddy put me in the wheelbarrow and we rode around the field. There was also a big tractor that I really liked to watch. Tonight is Halloween - I'm going to be a dragon and go around the neighborhood in my wagon to greet all the neighbors. (Mommy says I'm too young to get any candy yet!) We'll try to post more photos of me all dressed up sometime this week. Stay tuned...

Big Boy

Wow! Time flies as I get older. I'll be a whole 15 months old next week!! I am growing into a big boy more and more each day. I am running around and climbing on anything I can. My vocabulary is slowly growing as well; although I often get frustrated because Mommy & Daddy don't understand what I'm saying. I love to point out the things I see and say "whas dat?" I also like to put on Mommy & Daddy's shoes and walk around (although Daddy's are so big, I usually don't get too far!). I have lots of new teeth (and let me tell you it has not been fun dealing with them breaking through!!). Now I have 16 teeth total - pretty amazing for a boy who's just 15 months old! Overall I'm just a silly little guy. As you can see, I make funny faces and like to make people laugh - I know I'm pretty cute and like to show off when I can!

Growing Up

Hard to believe I'm 13 months old already! I' m changing more and more everyday. I am much more aware of the world around me. I point to things I see and jabber away to tell you what I think about them. I don't have actual words yet, but I do understand a lot of what people are saying. When I see a kitty I say Beow and Uff Uff for doggies. I really like animals and am learning to pat gently (my kitty Tyra bit me the other day becasue I tried to sit on her!). I love swimming in my pool in the back yard with Papa. I get in and out and in and out. I also like to play with the hose as he's filling it up with water for me. I can walk very very fast, so you really have to look out because I might just get away from you!! I'm working on running, but sometimes end up on my face after a couple of steps. That's OK though; I just get right back up and try again. I am very persistent and like to have things my way. I don't like when Mommy and Daddy say no to me. I'm learning how to get what I want in life and becoming more vocal in demanding things. I'm usually a good boy and know my limits, but I have been known to act like a stinker from time to time. My hair is growing really long, and it's almost time for a haircut since a couple of people have mistaken me for a girl!! Anyway, I've got to go - I'm a very busy guy!!

More Party Pics

My party was so much fun. I wanted to share several more great photos from the event!

The After-Party Scene

After most everyone left on Saturday, the family and I (and Aunt Hiroko & Uncle Aaron) continued the party into the evening hours. Here I am in my new wagon (with my pinwheel party favors as cool accessories). Also, here I am with Papa. I love to ride on his shoulders, holding on to his ears while he runs around. I laugh and laugh - it's great!

Happy Birthday To ME!!

It’s been so long since my last post – so much has changed. I just celebrated my first birthday on Thursday, July 27th. I’m a big boy now! I started walking about a month ago at the end of June and I haven’t crawled since. Walking is really the best way to get around! I’m also talking a lot – I love to babble (although Mommy and Daddy still have a hard time understanding most of what I’m saying!). I had a party over the weekend to celebrate my birthday (thank you to all of you who made it – it was wonderful to see you). I made out like a bandit with all my gifts (like I didn’t already have enough stuff!!). Mommy and Daddy got me a red wagon and I love to go for wagon rides in the evenings after my bath. I also love all my toys. I actually play with them now instead of eating them. Books are great too (although I must admit I sometimes can’t resist and have to have a little nibble). I have moved into a big boy car seat and it’s probably time for my first haircut, so I must be growing up. Everyone keeps saying how fast I’m growing – this year has gone by quickly! I’m not a baby anymore and am becoming a toddler more and more everyday. Stay tuned…

Little Monster

Hello friends! It's been a while since my last post - I've been pretty busy! I turned 10 months old a couple weeks ago. I'm still not walking yet (which makes Mommy happy); but I am starting to stand on my own for about a minute and then I fall back onto my bottom. I've even tried a couple of independent steps when Mommy or Daddy are close by - usually falling into their arms. I'm also starting to climb on things when I can. I can go up stairs, scale the bookshelf, climb into the bathtub and even hold on to the kitchen table and hang for a second (Mama says I'm a monkey)! I'm trying all kinds of new foods (although I like Cheerios the best - I have them at breakfast, lunch and dinner). I love going to day care and seeing my buddies. We sit and chat a lot, have lunch together and go on adventures inside and out. Mommy is planning a birthday party for me since I'll be one year old soon - how exciting!! You're all invited so look for your invitation in the mail soon.
