Spring Shots
I have discovered how to load slide shows!! This is perfect timing, as it will help to illustrate my efforts in trying to get both boys to sit down, look at the camera and smile. As you can see, I was not successful...

Happy Easter!
We woke up this morning and had been visited by the Easter Bunny. She brought the boys little baskets full of fun treats! They were both delighted (well Luke not so much, but Dylan made up for his lack of enthusiasm). After a nice brunch, we headed out back so Dylan could hunt for all the eggs the Bunny hid around the yard. Here are some fun photos from a nice day to remember... Happy Easter to all!

Happy Spring!

Well it's officially spring today. Hooray!! We've been having beautiful weather and spending a lot of time outside. Luke is walking (see the video) and it's rather scary at this stage as he's still pretty wobbly, but he's learning to get around quite well. He also waves hello & goodbye, which is too cute; and he loves to clap and dance! His first birthday is quickly approaching, so I'm starting to plan for the festivities. Dylan chats a lot. I was mentally exhausted yesterday after spending the day with him because he goes on and on and on - it's hard to keep up with the boy. He communicates quite well and is very observant of the world around him. He's always asking questions learn more about everything. Happy Spring!!

Little Luke

My littlest baby boy will be ten months old on Saturday. Where has the time gone?? I can't believe how big this little guy is already. Rob measures the boys on a doorway by the kitchen and Luke is already past Dylan's 12 month mark. He still isn't walking yet, but he's very close. He can stand on his own and has even taken several shaky steps. I am dreading the summer days as I think of these two monsters running around, getting into everything. Luke is still a sweet, easy-going guy for the most part. He rarely gets upset and it's mostly when he's being bullied by his big brother, having toys snatched out of his little hands or getting knocked over. He babbles and sings a lot. He looks just like his Daddy, except for the light hair and green/blue/grey eyes. This time last year I was pregnant and worried about how another baby could fit into our perfect little family. I was worried about Dylan adjusting to such a major change in his life. I was worried about how in the world I could possibly deal with and love two children. A year later and I realize how much better off we are with Luke here. It's tough at times, but Dylan truly loves his little brother. It's crazy how fast time goes by and also hard to imagine what life will be like this time next year - how much they both will have changed!

Lukie Loodle I love you so much and can't imagine our lives without you in our family. Your smile lights up the room and your giggles bring us so much joy. I hope that you and your brother will be the best of friends someday soon!! Love, Mama

Little Dilly
OK, so now is the time for all of you who thought Dilly might not be the greatest nickname for the boy to say, "I told you!" My parents were at the grocery store last week and the friendly checker asked him what his name was, to which he shyly responded, "Little Dilly." Now see I'm just impressed that he responded at all; in the past he would have put his hand in his mouth, too intimidated to reply. My mom on the other hand doesn't like that he thinks he's little Dilly! There is another Dillon at his day care (note the different spelling). So in order to differentiate, Dylan has become Dilly or sometimes little Dilly. This past week I have been working on teaching him that his name is in fact Dylan, not Dilly, but it's going to take some time. I guess we should stop calling Luke Lukie while we're at it!
