Potty Time

Well it's official... Dylan is now using the potty. Three months shy of his third birthday, but better late than never! We were at Walmart last week and he saw some Cars underpants, so I bought them and dedicated the day to focus on him and the potty. He made it through the weekend with just one accident and now he knows when he needs to go. I am so proud of him! All it took was a bribe of M&Ms as a reward for going and some cool underpants (oh yeah and I promised to buy him a toy weed whacker about a month ago and he still remembers), but having to change one less kid in diapers is well worth it all. We're preparing for Luke's birthday party this weekend (not sure if anyone will even show up since no one RSVP'd, but at least the family will be here).

Fariytale Town

Farmer and the Dell - The cheese stands alone
Little Luke
Daddy & Dylan walk the Crooked Mile
Farmer Dylan rides the red tractor
The prince brothers take their throne!

Dylan loves his fairytales, so a visit to Sacramento's Fairytale Town was in order this year... and he LOVED it. His Sitie reads to him from a Mother Goose book and we have a CD that plays a lot of nursery rhyme/fairytale songs, so he is quite familiar with the stories. He and Luke had a great time at this magical little place where the stories come alive.

Boy on a Bike

We reluctantly got Dylan his first bike yesterday. We went to the bike shop to buy helmets for the boys (so they could ride in the bike trailor) and learned that Dylan could get on and actually ride a bicycle! He has a little trike that he still struggles to move, so I had no idea he was ready for a real bike. Anyway, he now owns a cool orange bike, with a matching helmet that he has started riding around the cul de sac. Here is video proof of this milestone. Our little boy is growing up!!
