Pumpkin Patch '08

The boys had their annual trip to the pumpkin patch. As usual, they had a great time. They loved all the baby animals, although I think the goats are their favorite!

Clydesdales & A Dalmation

The Budweiser Clydesdales are here at UC Davis for the opening ceremony of the new Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science. They are staying in the UC Davis Horse Barn and the university community was invited to come out to see them. I thought this would be a neat outing for the boys and Daddy today, plus I thought it would be really cool to see such grand animals up close. Wow they sure are neat! When we arrived two of them were being washed and several others were in the pen. These guys are huge; it's amazing! There is also a dalmatian who rides in the coach with the handlers, his name is "Brady", or the "fire dog" as Dylan says.

So as we're leaving I ask Dylan: "Did you like the horses?"

D: "Yeah, but I really liked the fire dog! Where are the firemen?"
D: "Mama can we get a fire dog? I really want one."

Catching Up

Wow. It's been quite a while since I've composed a post or posted any photos here. I have fallen behind on blog maintenance (I apologize). Life has been busy these days... The boys are growing up and amazing us each day. Luke is starting to talk and they play more and more with each other. Dylan is a full-fledged little boy - or a "big" boy if you ask him! Luke will be 17 months old in a couple of days. It's amazing when I think of them both just a year ago, how much they've changed. I find myself breaking up a lot of scuffles between them lately. Luke does his best to keep up with Dylan and doesn't seem intimidated by much. I know I need to just step back and enjoy them at this stage, they are adorable. It's just so exhausting with work and life in general. I tend to realize just how lucky we are at the end of the day, when they are sleeping quietly and just so very sweet! Not only have I neglected the blog, but realized the other day that I had no (zero, none) photos from the month of September. In my defense, I have been working full time (it's the busiest time for me at work) and we have been traveling as well. On that note, I have to document that we survived a trip to Oklahoma for a family wedding. It was not so easy flying there with Lukie, but we made it (thanks Papa!!). Here are some shots of the boys cooking brownies with Sitie (it gets kind of messy) and a shot from our trip this past weekend to Lake Tahoe. Fun times...
