Fall Shots

Beautiful boy!

"Don't picture me, Papa!!"

Well, we had our first family Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year. Mom did most of the cooking and it was all delicious! The boys are growing up more and more. Dylan is going through a rough patch lately - we were lucky to not really go through the "terrible twos"; but three has had it's days that leave me wondering "who is this child?!" He really is sweet and pleasant for the most part, but there has been a lot of frustration and whining that is starting to drive me crazy!! I just try to stay calm and remember that he is only three and this too shall pass... He is very excited about Christmas and wants everything he sees! Lukie is getting to be a big boy! We went to the doctor for his 18 month appointment last week and he is the size of an average 29 month old! He is catching up with his brother at an amazing pace. He's talking more and more and we are actually starting to understand him! The boys do fight a lot, but they also enjoy playing with each other. I really need to find a good book to figure out how to deal with all the sibling s#*t!! Here are some photos of them playing in the cul de sac yesterday. It's finally feeling like fall around here - the weather is crisp and cool and the leaves are changing color (my favorite time of the year!)

VOTE!

I can proudly say I have voted in every important election (I admit that I don't always vote when it's for school board members, as I have no clue about the candidates; although someday soon I will have to educate myself). Anyway, I am sure my political views are evident from this blog, but seeing as tomorrow is election day, I can't resist. Also, I have to say how much I love permanent absentee voting - I won't have to deal with any waiting or lines tomorrow, since I sent in our ballots over a week ago!
I have HOPE!!! (If you are planning to vote for McCain, please stay home tomorrow!)

Happy Halloween

I think it's an annual tradition to have the damn camera battery die on Halloween night (this is the third year it has happened). You would think we might get smart and charge it beforehand! Anyway, my MIL got some photos of the boys dressed up and I will post them as soon as I get copies. In the meantime, here is a cute one of Dylan at daycare last week with his little buddies M and D. FYI he is Buzz Lightyear (cheap Target-bought costume that he insisted on having!!).

Updated with pictures taken after trick or treating... they didn't want candy, but instead wanted a decorated cup cake I brought home (that's what's all over their faces!)
