Snow Days

We took the boys up to Lake Tahoe for a weekend in the snow. Our timing was great. It snowed before we got there and the day that we left, which gave them several days of snow-filled fun. Sledding and playing in the snow was all they did. I think we'll try skiing for Dylan next year. The house that we rented had a side area where Papa and Daddy made a sled run just their size. It provided many slides down and lots of giggles and squeals. One day we went to a ski resort with a sled hill (affordable and not too big - perfect for little ones). Dylan liked it and went down several times - it was much steeper than our homemade run. But Lukie tired after two trips down and much preferred sipping cocoa with Sitie in the lodge. Overall it was a nice trip, the boys enjoyed the snow. However getting them dressed and undressed with all their gear was not so fun!

Sunny Day

Wow our weather has been great lately. I know that we really need rain, but the sunshine has been wonderful. Dylan went outside today and said, "It's a beautiful day!" It has been nice to get outside and let the boys play, so we're not cooped up inside all day. We're going up to Tahoe next weekend, so I'm actually hoping for some rain (which=snow in the mountains). They boys have been busy being boys. They fight a lot, and I feel like a constant referee, but they also play together all the time (which allows me time to write blog posts!).
